FFrRl= Ain't All Cows And Plows Roosevelt High School is the only school in 1in- neapolis to offer the intra-curricular national or- ganization of the Future Farmers of America. To be a member, the student must be enrolled in one of the many vocational agriculture classes. Stu- dents interested in making a career in the broad field of agriculture become involved through FFA by participating in contests on the district, state, and national levels. Our chapter being strongest in crops and horticulture this year. Our Roosevelt chapter hold meetings every other Tuesday night where all the members can be found planning and carrying through many activities such as, a fall clean-up, project, the annual Christmas wreath sale, trips to district and state meetings, and the highlight of the year, attending the Nation- al Convention in Kansas City, 1issouri. The greatest assets of being active in FFA are, learning responsibilities through leadership, learning and working first hand at careers and opportunities of agriculture, and most important- ly, being given the chance to meet and get to know kids all over the country interested in being and becoming the "Future Farmers of America."
