William Tilbury: the track team knew him as the best backcracker and affection- ately called him "dad. " He's the huggable ' 'teddy bear" of the staff. Thomas Valvik: made his name known with his rooster experiments. He de- mands 100 o from his students in his Biology classes. Berta Vijard: a perfectionist, she's very smart, and tough to please. Dorothy Webb: gives highly emotional talks, craves Chinese food, and expressed her concern for China in the death of their leader, Mao Tse Tung. Maurice Weinblatt: Unlimited artistic talent. He comes up with many cute phrases and just loves to talk about his gourmet cooking. Louraine Wendt: the lady with the distinctive voice and ready whistle. She is this year's gymnastics and golf coach. Muriel Weist: is strict, efficient, organized and goes by the book to prepare her students for the real world. She teaches typing and shorthand 29
