In traditionJ l custom we, the graduating class of June, 1960, with veneration and gratitude dedicate this Pictorial to Mrs . Betty Sale and Mr. Vincent Me Lellan, former alumni and teachers of Southwestern . After attending Wayne State University, where she received her bachelor of science degr ee, Mrs. Sale began teaching at Southwestern in January of 1957 . Leaving Southwestern at the beginning of this semester, Mrs . Sale is now living in New Jersey. Mr . Me LeHan, or Mac ' ' as he was frequently called, was graduated from the University of Detroit with a bachelor of law degree. He received his bachelor ' s and master's degrees in education from Wayne State University . Mr . Me Lellan came in 1946 to teach at Southwestern . It was with deep regret that the students and faculty learned of his sudden death during the Christmas holidays. With our ambition high, we shall not soon for get the special interest and understanding, the friendliness and enthusiasm of Mrs . Sale and Mr. Me Le llan. We shall long remember them after our school days. We Thank Our Senior Class Sponsors We, the graduating class of June ' 60, wish to extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, Miss Joanna Savage and Mr. Fred Decker. Miss Savage attended Martindale Normal College and later went to the University of Michigan where she r eceived her bachelor s and master's degrees. She began teaching at Southwestern in 1921. Mr. Decker attended Stout State College at Menomoni e , Wisconsin . He came to teach at Southwestern in 1930. He rec e ived his master ' s degr ee from Wayne Stat e University in 1938.
