And not a senior preparing for graduation. Even though all of this applies to the sophomores at East Ascension, it does not mean that they are not as important as everyone else. These students, just like the others, get involved with many school activities. They are included in all of the clubs and they fit in. As you walk through the halls and look into the classrooms, you see them full of sophomores. During lunch-shift, they are eating lunch or clowning around with their friends in the mall or the courtyard. Sophomores can often be seen talking and gathering closely with their friends. Jeanine Banker and Chetta Glaze, right top, are two sophomores who show their less serious side. These students are also involved in the publishing of the Spartan Lance. Over half of the Lance staff, bottom right, are in the tenth grade. These students help to make the newspaper possible. So, as you can see, sophomores are a very important part of East Ascension. They help to make the school complete. And if you are a sophomore, do not worry, we know you are just as important as everyone else. 62
