CLARK SEBREE Be sure to take that tackle out. 7he cSeason %aves 71/ony VALLEY 13-BUTLER 19 The Bears were high spirited for their homecoming. It was a close game all the way. Butler scored all their points in the first half. Joe Gallo scored twice and Dennis Hawkins scored late in the 2nd quarter for the final Butler TD. Valley led in the first quarter on a 39-yard pass play, Fahey to Grisham. Ray Norman scored the other Viking touchdown on a 52-yard run. VALLEY 18-FAIRDALE 0 This was Valley's homecoming and everyone was proud of the team. Valley scored in each of the first three quarters for the win. The Vikings scored first on a 24-yard pass from Fahey to Grisham. Steve Redmon intercepted a pass and set up the second score. Fahey passed again for a TD to Grisham. Ray Norman made a magnificent 73-yard run and put Valley close enough for an easy score. Fahey plunged over the line for the final touchdown. VALLEY 0-WAGGENER 27 • The Wildcats got off to an e:trly lead that Valley wasn't able to overcome. Waggener scored in each of the four quarters. Mike Easley, the Wildcat quarterback, ran for two touchdowns and passed for another. The other touchdown was scored by Howard Friedman on a 29-yard run.
