RICHARD SMITH LESLIE HELTON ANDY ARNOLD MIKE FAHEY TOM POPE DOUG ANDERSON VALLEY 2-EASTERN 32 Valley went up against powerful Eastern and couldn't get anything going. Joe Pope of East– ern scored twice. Richard Kies a lineman recovered a Valley fumble and ran it for a touchdown. Funk an end caught 2 touchdown passes. A substitute scored Eastern's final TD. Valley's only score came when Tom Grisham tackled Pope in the end zone. VALLEY 0- BISHOP DAVID 19 The Falcons held the Vikings scoreless. The passing of quarterback Chester Needy brought the Viking's downfall. Needy passed for a touchdown in the first quarter. In the second quarter Mike Puckett inter– cepted a Valley pass and ran for a score. Needy passed again for 15-yards and another score, in the fourth quarter. VALLEY 19- SOUTHERN 0 The Valley defense held the Trojans scoreless. Ray Norman lead the offense by gaining 165-yards during the night. Valley scored first when Fred Bulfard re– covered Mike Fahey's fumble in the end zone. Fahey scored the second TD on a one-yard plunge.
