!.he You think this isn't hard work???? A very busy director, Mrs. Lindsey. lib "Inherit the Wind," although not a history, is based on certain events which took place in a small town in Tennessee during the summer of 1925. The dramatic action of the play revolves around the clash of two giants of the legal and political world. Henry Drummond and Matthew Harrison Brady meet in the courtroom to determine the right of a teacher, Bertram Cates, to acquaint his class with the basic ideas found in Darwin's "Origin of Species". As the trial progresses, it grows to encompass more than the question of guilt or innocence of Bertram Cates. We find the town and even the state brought into the conflict which eventually brings out the primary question being asked which is, "Does a man, any man, have the right to think for himself and to express those thoughts publicly." People behind the sceoos ..• Rev. Brown and the children .•. Now, listen people, you have to concentrate and pay attention.
