64 Boys Track Team Has Much Disappointment The Cardinal Track Squad was a young team with no Seniors par- ticipating. Several underclassmen made up the bulk of the squad. Coach Friend and coach Palmer worked the boys hard. Not blessed with much speed, the only way for the Cards to gain anything was through hard work. Craig Hamel lead the cindennen by placing at several meets in the mile and two-mile run. Many of the boys took time off their individual times. The weight men increased the distance of their throws. The coaches thought they had a successful season as far as self improvement. Looking forward to next year, we will be losing assistant coach Palmer. But every one on the squad will return and Plainville should be contenders in any meet they go to.
