Tennis Squad Sends One Racqueteer To State The girls 1 tennis squad started out this season with a new head coach, Miss Millie Park. Each girl improved her ability by a consid- erable margin over the course of the year. Trina Brack earned a trip to the state tournament at llnsborg by placing in the top four at the regional meet held at Ness City. The squad was relatively young with Brack being the only Senior participating in tennis . There- mainder of the squad was com- posed of five juniors, two sopho- mores, and two freshmen. The MCL does not have a com- plete schedule for tennis 1 only four teams in the league have a tennis program. For this reason the team played several matches against larger 3A schools. The only squad victory '!Vas at Phillips- burg where our girls tallied three wins to their one. Looking forward to next year, Miss Park feels that with all the returning letter winners Plainville will be more competative than it has been the last few years. Miss Park looks on with watchful eyes as her tennis team prepares for the opponent.
