1\ssistant Marilyn Ostrom New Principal Brings Several Changes To P.H.S. This year was Robert King's first year as principal of PHS. While he was here this year he brought about a few changes. He initiated the domestic exchange program which sent four PHS students to Atlanta, Louisiana. He set up such things as an open- house for the parents to visit our school. Wanting to live in a larger community and liking the location of Plainville 1 Mr. King and his family moved here during the summer of 1977. He knew about the good tradition that PHS had in athletics and liked the school and the students. Mr. King was raised outside of Wichita and went to high school in Washington, Connecticut. Here- ceived his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Benedictine College in Atchi- son, Kansas and went on to get his Masters at Kansas State Universi- ty. He taught and and coached at Fort Riley for six years. He then moved to Ingalls 1 Kansas where he was principal for four years before coming to Plainville .
