118 ''Wish Upon A Star'' Brings Starless Skies Those attending the 1978 Jr.- Sr. Prom would have rather wished for a star than upon it. Overcast skies and rainy weather put a slight damper on the activities this year; but nonetheless it was en- joyed by all. The night started at 7: 00 p.m. with a welcome speech made by Junior Class President Brenda Hake. Senior Class President John Ruder delivered the response . Junior Mike Hargrave, accom- panied by Junior Steph Stewart, sang the theme song, 1 1 Wish Upon A Star' 1 • Something new was added this year, as Sophomore Troy Hemphill provided back- up vocals. The dinner followed, consisting of a cocktail and nuts , fried chicken, baked potatoes, com, tossed salad, French bread, iced tea, coffee, and strawberry short- cake for dessert. It was served by Sophomores Marianne Karns, Denise Dreiling , Sheri Denney, Lisa Markley, Jackie Sclunidt, Karen Brummer, Bob Dombroski, Mike Gager, Troy Hemphill, Tim Steinert, Scott Munsell, and Jim Hake. 1 1 Starfire 1 1 provided music for the dance, during and after which several parties ensued. A break- fast, originally scheduled for 3: 00 a.m., was served at 2:00a.m. at the VFW Hall. TOP (left to Right): It must be the funny liquid in the little white cups that is causing the heads of some PHS teachers to tum. Mark Maddox, Marilyn Ostrom, and Jan French get a kick out of getting their picture taken. BOTTOM (left to Right): Terri Roberts and Nick Dinkel make their entrance. Sharon Dreher, Greg Wheeler, and Terri Cramm discuss the construction of Sharon's dress. Kyle Bartlett, Geneva Mason, Wes Rolfe, and Richard Null obviously aren 1 t interested . The backdrop was the focal point of the decorations. Enjoy Your Leisure Time At THE PLAINVILLE BOWL
