Juniors Prevail At The Annual Cardinal Day After the awards assembly was over everyone gathered into the auditorium for the first annual 1 'Gong Show' '. At the end of the gong show the people with the best act got awarded. The award went to jwrlors, Stephanie Stewart and Diane Eng borg. Following the gong show, each class represented themselves with their most beautiful and most re- pulsive classmate in 1 'The Beauty and the Beast' ' contest. Although every class had tough competi- tion, the seniors triumphed with lovely Stacy Strouse, gorgeious Colette Haase, and homely, hairy, apeman, Bruce Slimmer. The field events began at 1:00, with Freshmen playing the Sopho- mores, and the Jwrlors reversing the Seniors. Carnes played were basketball , volleyball , kickball, and softball. Students were se- lected to play tennis, pinball, pool, bowling, and a bike race. The Jwrlor class pulled out with the most points in most of these 1 but the other classes hung in there and gathered down at the Cardinal Field where the classes participat- ed in the tug-of-war, several runs, a.n obsticle course, a bat spin and a goat chase.
