Play Goes Over With A Bang 106 Dull was not the word for the all school play 1 'You Can't Take it With You, 11 presented April 21. The cast 1 under the direction of Mrs. Lois Wilson 1 provided an hour and a- half of entertainment depicting the ups and downs of everyday life. The lead family consisted of one scatter- brained mother 1 a father who makes firecrackers for a liv- ing, a daughter whose one ambi- tion is to become a ballerina and her xylophone playing husband had their lives complicated by the ice man who came by to deliver ice and stayed for five years 1 the black maid, Rheba, and her live- in boyfriend 1 Donald 1 the philos- opher of the family 1 Grandpa 1 and the typical young Daughter 1 Al- ice. All are led into some comical situations 1 when Alice decides to marry Mr. Anthony Kerby Jr. 1 the son of her employer. With an extra flourish added Es- sie's ballet teacher 1 the invasion of FBI Agents, and the somewhat off-pitched singing of a drunk, things were bound to happen, and their happenings kept the audience laughing all through the night. The attendance was good at the play. Mrs. Wilson was satisifed with the results. TOP CENTER GOING CLODI-."WISE: Grandpa shows Mr. and Mrs. Kerby and their son 1 Ton)' 1 to their chairs. Essie shows her ballet talents to the viewers. Rheba gets the table ready for the families feast. Has the FBI Agent seen his mother-in-law or is he in a cata- tonic state? Paul seems to be asking someone if they care for any firecrackers. J. Jones relaxes backstage with the rest of the cast 1 be- fore she makes her appearance. Cast Penny .......
