River Conference Sc The Pendleton High School Cross Country Team distinguished themselves by wlnnina the first conference cross country meet held last week at Anderson Edge– wood Golf Course. Pendleton finished with 42 points, Frankton 445. Madison Heights 66, Highland 78, Markleville 113, St. Mary's 171. Lapel entered 3 runners and did not qualify in the team stanc:Unas. This marked the 7th victory for the Irish team, having lost only to Middletown. The Irishmen defeated Wilkinson, Highland, Alexandria, Frankton, Elwood, Markle– ville, Madison Heights, and St. Mary's; they tied with New Castle, and suffered their lone defeat at the hands of Middletown. In addition, the Pendleton harriers won the seven way White River Conference meet.
