The lab technicians are highly skilled in running and taking care of the machines in the laboratory. Through their skill language students use the machines to practice the pronunciation of for- The WEPS radio organization, Club 90.9, is made up of students from both Elgin High and Larkin radio studios. After these students have been taught to op– erate the various equipment in the studio they have the opportunity to broadcast and even write an entire program themselves. The members of Club 90.9 have broadcast such programs as those put on by the music departments and the winter sports program which includes both the football and ba ketball games. 49 eign words. The Audio-Visual Club is made up of boys who perform many useful services for the school. They as– sist the teachers in showing various movies which add interest to that specific subject. The Audio-Visual Club handles the distribution of films, the mainte– nance of the macHines, and the operation of the pub– lic address systems. They also make it pos ible to play records at the sock hops. This year the Audio-Visual Club is under the direction of Mr. Graffam.
