Letter from the /Edhiit@Jf As I reflect on the memories captured within the pages of this year's yearbook- from new teachers, record-breaking sports teams, and the challenges of not having a home gym- I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and nostalgia. These are the moments that have defined our school year, and I am thrilled to share them with you in this edition. This book stands as a window into the perspective of our student body. It represents not just the grand moments, but the quiet triumphs and everyday experiences. The journey of making this book was not an easy one. Each photo was thoughtfully picked, themes debated over, and colors carefully curated. It truly would not have been possible without the guidance of our adviser, Ms. Riley. I couldn't be more grateful for her invaluable anecdotes and unyielding support from the early planning stages at the start of summer to the final hours before the deadline. Along with her commitment, the countless hours each of our staff members spent on the field taking photos and in the classroom drafting pages were what truly brought the vision alive- from a slideshow of ideas to the book you are now holding. I would also like to thank our Friesens Representative, Shelly Townsend, for always being available to help out and for her dedication to this project. Lastly, a huge thank you to the many students who helped identify photos. Your text threads, FaceTime calls, and Flex Times pieced this book together. I leave Panther Tracks in the hands of Kelcey Flenniken, Charlotte Hughes, Madeline Yung, and the returning staff. Over the past few months, I have watched them rally around this book, spending weekends, breaks, and late nights poring over these pages. As I graduate from Burlingame, I have full faith that each emerging publication will continue to surpass expectations. I hope as you hold this book in your hands and turn through pages of photos, interviews, and fun facts, you feel the same joy I do, reliving moments from early August and reflecting on the year as a whole. In years to come, should you feel compelled to revisit this book, I hope it transports you back to the early mornings in the hallways, late nights at school dances, and every moment in between. Warm regards, Irene Chen Panther Tracks

It begins with the excitement of stepping on campus for the first time. Fresh and full of potential, the future is bright with possibilities. We then immerse ourselves in the whirlwind of events that shape our journey- the euphoria of dancing with friends at Homecoming, the gasp that runs through the class when the chemistry lab fire burns bright green, and the tension that radiates through the stands as our running back takes off for the end zone. We navigate the highs and lows of academic challenges, experiencing floods of relief upon seeing hard-earned scores and find community in the hours spent after school hanging flyers and organizing fund raisers. These are the moments that define our high school experience. The feeling of dread at returning to school each fall, which is quickly washed away by the joy of seeing the hallways filled with friends again after months apart. The feeling of calm that washes over you before stepping onto the stage for a performance that has been months in the making, choreography and vocals finally snapping into place. The feeling of adrenaline that courses through your body as you round the track, digging deep, sprinting for the finish. The feeling of anxiety that dissipates as you slide into your first-period class at the last possible moment, reeling from the adjustment of Daylight Savings. And finally, the feeling of pride and sadness when you throw your cap into the air, memories of the past four years playing in your mind, interrupted by the thunderous applause of family and friends in the audience. It's that feeling. ~--OPENING 005
