SOCCER Soccer has continued to increase in popularity at Judson in the high school and grade school. Several grade school games have been played with Alhambra School resulting in a 1-1 tie and 1-2 defeat. High school soccer received a shot in the arm when it was found possible to arrange several games with Arizona State College. An International flavor was noticed when among the 22 players, eight nationalities were rep– resented. Mr. Bob Gunkel and Mr . Emerich Hlava, along with Chuck Byerly, Jack Camhi, and Gus Mini, did an excellent job in supporting the Judson squad. Bigger and better plans are set for next year's soccer schedule, and under the direction of Mr. Harvey Boswell, competition will be at an all-time high. - 126 -
