ROPING 1957-1958 has seen the Judson Roping Association bring further credit to themselves and our school . Our invitational matched roping, suggested by Mr. Henry Wick, developed into one of the highlights of Valley of the Sun roping for 1957. Judson School is proud that this match, attended by contestants from such distances as Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Los Cruces, New Mexico, was won by our fine student-roper, Steve Cone. This roping has drawn many compli– ments, and is a credit to the entire Judson Roping Association who produced the affair . Our ropers are riding better horses and consistently turning in better performances. Inter– school and weekend matches have been enthusiastically contested, and our ropers have proven they can both win and lose gracefully. - 120-
