They carried the Green and White onto the hardwood, across the hill– ock , out on the diamond, down the cinder traightaway, onto the base– lined a phalt and over the fairway . The 'i elborn warrior hear their ignal for attack in the drawl of the Hoo ier tate--the coach is a native Indianian. He got his M.. in education at that tate' Univer– sity after a ojourn among the Illini for the baccalaureus and a three year tour of avy duty as a chief pharmaci t's mate. He came here in 1947. He ar– rived in Endicott in 1941 to direct the yracu e Exten ion chool, ha been here since. A crantonian, he took hi A.B. at yracu e in 1934, stayed on at "Piety Hill" a a ist– ant dean of men and received his M.A. there in 1939. A for his dutie- well, college means lots of things, but more than anything el e it mean tudie , cour e , curricu– lum. Getting the student in, keep– ing him in and getting him out on chedule is Mr. Mo es' job-when the chips are down, he' your man. Herbert l. Leet LIBRARIAN La t fall a convoy of truck rumbled northward, carrying back to Syracu e all the book from our library. Herbert Leer urveyed the empty tacks, drew a quick mental picture of the lot of us lowly dis– appearing in the aby of illiteracy, and went to work. The library now ha nearly 20,000 volumes. This gentleman who ha caved off the extinction of intelligence in our milieu came to us in 1947 with an A.B. and B.L. . from yracu e after service in the libraries of a number of public chool in the state. He now operates from higher-ceilinged headquarters in Harpur' newest campu acquisition-the ex-public library. 15 Samuel P.
